Our Back Story, What We Have Learned, & What We Want You to Know About Our Products

Our Back Story:  

It began in 2010 —

When we realized that toxins had left their mark on our family, we became extremely diligent about what ingredients were in our food, cleaners, and body care products.

As parents, we realize that we are the last line of defense for our children. While we may not be able to go back in time, from this point on, we are committed to providing the cleanest environment possible for our children.

What We Have Learned:

While we began this story with a mission for purity, this journey has uncovered something much deeper. We have realized that we can flip the script.

We can live a clean and minimalistic life where things are whole and true without overextending us.

What we want you to know about our Products: 

As you browse our products, I want you to understand what you get from them.

These are not just products that we personally handmake in small batches. Rather, they are products that we carefully curated from meticulously sourced ingredients, honoring their natural synergistic properties and their ability to deliver the very best of nature. 

We source our oils from a company owned by someone that was personally injured by the toxic chemicals that are so prevalent in the cosmetic industry. So, they have skin in the game, just like you and I, and they will not carry oils that are anything other than Cold-Pressed and Organic.

To us, Cold-Pressed is vital. Even though a plant may be grown organically, if the processing of it includes heat and chemicals (such as hexane), it can cause the rich nutrients to be damaged and the chemicals used during the processing may continue to linger in the final product.

We chose our oils based off of how they work together, and what nutrients they provide. Your skin is the largest organ of your body and it acts as a sponge. As such, we are unwilling to apply to the skin anything that we wouldn’t be willing to put into the body.

Our balms are made without water. This means that you are getting a pure & concentrated product. When a product is undiluted, you as the consumer, require less. Since our balms lack water and are formulated with high-density nutrients, synthetic preservatives are rendered moot. The only ingredient with water is the Magnesium Oil, but since it is a salt, there is no need for a preservative in it, either.

Concerning our soaps, the milk in our soaps comes from our very own hand milked Jersey Cows that we raise right here on the farm. We control the land & their food, and this means we are in control of the purity of the milk used in our soaps. When we make our soap, the mixture never touches a heat source, other than the natural heat that the ingredients themselves create... not a slow cooker, not a stove top. It is then cured naturally over several weeks, preserving the integrity of the bar, and giving you the purest soap possible.
