Why "Cold Processed"?
Why do we Cold Process our Bars?
First off, we are working with Raw Milk. Raw Milk is so loved because when it is kept cold, it retains its beneficial vitamins and nutrients. I do NOT want to cook that out of the soap.
After all, you don't want to burn off all the carotenoids and omega-3 fatty acids that Raw Milk contains. All of these help make your skin silky smooth and beautiful by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation!
The Cold Processing Method isn't just beneficial to keep the awesomeness of the Raw Milk intact, it also helps to preserve all the Cold Pressed oils that I use.
Heat kills many vitamins and nutrients, leaving these products in a state that is just a shell of what they were in their glory days.
For me, Cold Processing has been the only option. Plus, it makes a harder, longer lasting, smoother bar that is gentler on your skin! So, for those with skin issues, a Cold Processed Bar is definitely the way to go.
If your bar doesn't say Cold Processed, then it's a hot processed bar.
A hot processed bar is made and ready once it hardens.
A Cold Processed Bar will take weeks, if not over a month to fully cure and be ready for use. This process makes it very unappealing to large companies that really don't care about the benefits of the final product. After all, why do they want to pay to store a bar for over a month, when they could just make it and sell it within the same week?
But our main goal isn't profit. Our main goal is to make a great product that is really, truly beneficial to both our family and yours!
